Euromaidan is a wave of demonstrations, civil unrest and clashes with riot police on Maidan (Independent square) and nearby in the center of the Kyiv, Ukraine and all over other big cities of Ukraine, which began on the night of 21 November 2013 with pro-European demonstration and rapidly developed into anti-government protest and revolution. Thousands of people gathered each day over the months demanding resignation of the President Viktor Yanukovych, his government and early elections. Several buildings in the center of the Kyiv has been taken over by protesters where they slept and rested. The protests reached a climax in the middle of the February 2014. During three months of demonstrations and clashes Mikhail Palinchak photographed Maidan in Kyiv, life and people on it. In three months at least 115 people were killed and more than 500 injured, the house of Trade Unions and few small shops were burnt.
